Prostate Enlargement and How to Treat It
As for inc urination at night, this can be due to a prostate enlargement, but also the organs hanging down off their ligaments (visceroptosis) pushing on the bladder, it can be from insulin resistance and the body not being able to absorb the water, it can be from being deficient in minerals, a urologicol (bladder infection) from bacteria or fungus, from drinking fluids close to bed time, caffiene can irritate and cause this (eliminate it!), as well as one of the major (as there are 100s) side effects of long term ingestion of aspartame is inc freq of urination. I am sure there are others. They key is to figure out why you are having this issue. Yes I know the MD said this and that, but they say a lot that is not true all the time. They base health off numbers and you numbers are not even that high. Visit here to learn more! joshrubin.wordpress.com

Hello all I am Mohel Castorena, I had prostate enlargement along with 2 other men. I tried Unsulphered Blackstrap Molasses. 2-3 Tbs a day with a glass of milk. In a week I was back to a decent flow. I told the 2 other men, one of which had pain sitting down, to try this and the too were helped in 5 days. PLEASE TRY UNSULPHERED BLACKSTRAP MOLASSES. TRUST THIS MOHEL!
As always, great content.
I didn’t catch you mention it but I suspect sometimes BPH is confused with prostatitis by less knowledgeable practitioners. I’ve had chronic prostatitis for two years following a bacterial infection and while diet has dramatically improved the prostate enlargement and pelvic pain, quercetin remains the only thing that helps relieve the vas deferens pain. Chronic prostatitis is not yet fully understood by most Western doctors so it’s understandable for some of them to confuse it with BPH.
Dr Lee did some research on this but he was the only one that I have found that was looking into this. It is not that progest does, it is more low progest (estrogen dom) that creates more of this enzyme and faulty pathway.
Thanks for your take, Josh. Does progesterone inhibit 5 alpha reductase as well?
